because people who are different WANT to be as different as possible. it defines them and they have nothing else.
thats why equality movements have failed them afterward. because once they are accepted, they arent special, and they have nothing.

specific gender roles may not be necessary, but in a 2 person relationship, there MUST be different roles for each of them.
its been proven that the only true successful marriages or long term relationships work because of the roles they each have separately.
2 people who have the same personality and share all chores, and loveual roles together never work out.

It's not when they switch genders that I have a problem, it's when they lie to people about what they are.
if u dont want to identify a trans person as the thing they want to be that makes them comfortable and happy then i think ur just being a richard because tumblr people yelled at u once or something

they can call themselves whatever the forget they want.
and they WILL accept me calling them a ma'am or a sir depending on their drivers license.

but whatever a blood test says, thats the only bathroom/lockerroom i want to see them in.
no debate, no excuses, there are no middle genders by dna.
even all hermies are technically female.

Okay yeah, that's something that would get on my nerves too.  It's a lot safer now than it was ten years ago to say "Hey I was born a guy but I didn't like it so now I'm a girl/trying to become a girl," and vice versa.  Whenever it's brought up in conversation I just kinda mention it off-hand that I used to identify as a dude.

because people who are different WANT to be as different as possible. it defines them and they have nothing else.
Sure, but anyone who's transgender just for the purpose of being different is an idiot.  Plenty of trans* people I know don't want to be seen as different and just as whatever they choose to identify as.

you can call yourself whatever the forget you want but at the end of the day you're either XX or XY, you can't be xedge.

please stop coming up with gender neutral terms like "xir" instead of her or him. that stuff is annoying and loving wierd

and yeah. don't loving lie about what genitals you have. you might be okay with it, don't expect everyone to be.

Jumping off of a building believing you can fly =/= going through treatments and surgeries to change your appearance.

The difference between the two is one is suicidal while the other is a way to help someone feel better about themselves.

Jumping of a building because you believe you can fly is not suicidal because you believe you can fly.

They are not different, in both instances you believe you are something you are not.

In both instances you strive to achieve something beyond human standards. Humans cannot fly, humans cannot change genders. If you insult anyone for embracing this fact then I don't know what to say. Xx and Xy, you cannot change that.

Was this thread made only as a way to start trouble, or what? It sure seems like it.

Except love changes and hormone treatments are actual procedures.  Sure, you're not changing chromosomes or anything, you're still biologically whatever you were born as, but you can at least look and feel the part.  That's really all that matters, because it's an operation to help someone feel better about themselves, just like facial reconstruction or breast enhancement surgeries.

So if I get a jet pack surgically attached to my back I'm not weird because it makes me feel better?

Anybody who thinks that a jet pack potruding out my back is weird is a "bigoted friend" then?

If you say yes, then I give up lol.

I'd love to have cybernetic implants and I'd love anyone who had them.

I'm not sure where the "bigoted friend" thing came from, probably just 95% of the LGBT community being filled with idiots who don't know what opinions are.  No, people thinking having a jetpack sticking out of your back is weird aren't bigoted because it is weird.  (But that would be pretty bad ass, can I have one too?)  love changes are loving weird, too, I don't blame anyone for giving me funny looks for saying I'm planning on having one.  No one is a "bigoted friend" for thinking love changes are weird or gross or whatever, they're entitled to their opinions.  Any opinion is fine to have as long as it isn't something harmful that you act on because of the opinion, IE beating someone because of their race.

In short, no, it's not bigoted to think something is weird or even to think it's wrong.  That's silly.

This is exactly why I don't understand why trans think they are entitled to normalcy after all the stuff they did to their body. At least one person is going to think they're weird and they shoud deal with it.

its not unethical or illegal to not be accepting.

special minority groups only deserve tolerance. but they are to stupid to know the difference. so they get mad wanting both but not specifically know what one is what.

Bisjac summed it up nicely, but yeah, the majority of the LGBT community is admittedly stupid and thinks everyone will suddenly be accepting of them because LGBT has become this huge thing now.  Hell, there are still really huge tribals, why would anyone who's gay/trans think they won't get some heat every now and then?
