Dont get CD on steam. Get it on android or IOS. On mobile it has tails as an added character and you can switch between the genesis spindash and the original.

While you're at it also get sonic 1 for IOS. It has an added spindash, tails, knuckles, a secret level select, a 7th emerald, super sonic, beta items in debug mode, and a time attack mode.
