Fun fact: domestic cash reflow doesn't reduce deficits. Some people believe that it will help, but their logic is flawed. It doesn't even make sense that increasing government spending would reduce the deficit. Some people may cite the 'you have to spend money to make money,' but we're already spending a stuffload of money and making a stuffload of money. Increasing spending won't help, the only thing that will is cutting spending.

you're living in a 24 hour time lapse, I see
no i'm living in Canada

who here is really trying to defend the democrats?

honestly.. come on, have we not seen enough?
mfw this guy and Kearn still don't realise the only reason the GOP opposes obamacare is because their insurance lobbyist buttpals won't be able to give them as much money, because they'll be losing money.

Common sense ladies, learn it.

my mom sat me down last night and was like "people at school are going to be throwing fits over the shutdown so you need to know the truth about it so you can educate them" (when she started talking about it i kind of mentally rolled my eyes and payed attention to my cat instead)
but in reality i only heard about it twice: once from a teacher and once from some girls at lunch

We were all screaming "Happy government shutdown day!"

Hopefully your dad doesn't think the GOP is out for your wellbeing.

Hopefully one day your political arguments will mature from "the other side sucks!!!!" to actual logic and reasoning. I'm not saying you'll change sides, but you look painfully dumb walking into this thread where many solid arguments have been made expressing no opinion other than dislike for the opposite party.

I don't support democrats though, so the argument you just presented is just as speculative as you believe mine to be.

Great job, but no dice, mate.

I didn't say you were a democrat. I said "the other side." As you so diligently pointed out, there's more than two takes on it. Good job right back to you, buddy.

I'm seriously considering to become an Independent. What do you guys think, is that a good decision?

The other side implying one?  I'm pretty much the middle ground.  Sorry for not being biased and just telling it how it is, pal.  Keep at it, though, this is entertaining.

It doesn't really matter unless you want to vote in the primaries. You don't have to vote for the party you declare yourself in support of.

Yes. Since you don't align with the GOP, the GOP is the other side. Since you claim to not align with democrats either, that is also the "other side." It depends on connotation. You're the one making assumptions, not me.

So you're under the impression my arguments are contrarian fueled?  What about what I've said isn't true, as mocking as it may be?  No political party is out for the wellbeing of the people, they're out for their own politcal gain.  Sure, you can refute this and say it's bullstuff, but it's been the case hundreds of times and I doubt we've seen the last of greed in the political game.

You started this off attacking me for making true, though insultive, statements about an individual political party which is causing much more of a mess than the opposing one currently.  Maybe you shouldn't assume superiority in a discussion of ideals and statistic when the only thing you've got to refute them is ad hominem.
