Author Topic: Moving Platforms  (Read 1711 times)

OK, first off: I know Trader is working on elevators, which will be a great mod. But, another thing I want is a moving platforms mod, where they are moved via different methods, like being triggered, or automatically move on their own, or simply when get on them. I want them to be able to move in any direction, and maybe even be able to define the platform's parameters (having some sort of cap to prevent handicapped sizes). OR at least an option of using multiple size platforms.

I ask for this, because my challenges in RTB almost always involved using tricks with triggered movers and so on, and it would be nice to be able to do stuff like this again. Like make an tram ride of doom where the players had to dodge and jump stuff as the platform was moving.

I'm not a very good modder, and to be honest, I don't even play Blockland all to often, so Modding really isn't in my interests. And this is too much work for me to want do make myself. I know it's possible, and that it can be done with a GUI and everything, and having limits to how many platforms a server can have or clients.

So please, if anyone can make these, I would be very much in their debt. I like Blockland V8, but to be honest, I am only interested in building challenges, and so far, there doesn't seem to be much choice but to make a "jump" challenge, which in my opinion, is way overdone and is no longer of any interest.

Sounds good, be nice if someone would make it.

Well if someone would make a model for me... but nuuuuu everyone ignores me wheneber I request a model.

Well..
Mr Pickle did make building platforms
They can't be triggered but you can move them around
And you can resize the platforms

Rky i could ask spat for ya.

You get me a small box model(not hollow) and we're in business. (I'll add a scaler to it.)

Seriously, I really just need a model to get me started at the moment. As soon as I can get one I'll try to have a beta out ASAP. I can probably work all night friday and package it saturday(caturday) or sunday(funday) if I get a small box model(about the size of a 1by1 flat) by tommorrow.

In other news, If this project gets underway, I'll need a gui maker to halp with the gui for it.

wait why not just use the building platform model?

wait why not just use the building platform model?
not the size I want( its about a 6by6 flat, I want a 1by1 flat)

Hm i dunno then. Ask who ever made the building platform shape.
