The sad thing is that my car would only be ~25mph slow. Due to the unfortunate effects of the square-cube law, the force required to overcome 200mph drag is 150% the power that my car produces. So unless I get a turbocharger and boost my horsepower to 500, I'm not gonna be breaching 200 any time soon.

I'd still be there faster than a Prius, though..

Yeah that's why I said it lol

Sad thing is, my fusion will beat the prius

according to the speedometer, my car accepts 180mph

I don't see how that's possible though Lol.
not to mention it would nearly flip over at about 140 anyways
The highest number on a speedometer doesn't really correlate with how fast the car goes. It's not uncommon to have the needle pegged at the end of the speedometer in some cars (like my friend's [stock] Subaru Legacy), and in lots of large, slow cars (like minivans) the highest number is 120-140. I can't find any figures on the base Lancer (they're all Evo stats) but the Evo can go 144 mph. Based on cars with similar horsepowers (148, Honda Civic) you should be able to get in the 120-130 range.

Your fusion has 175 horsepower, it'll beat most hybrid passenger cars.

My train can flatten your cars

It's also a heavier car, I think, I'd have to spend a little time researching that but it certainly feels heavier than my mom's 09 Mazada 6 but the fusion handles smoother because it's not sport.

The fusion weighs 3,300 lbs. The Prius weighs 2900. So, yeah, your car is a porker. But you've got like, double the horsepower of a Prius.

Hold up. Toyota is redesigning the Prius? I actually really like that design..

Well yeah, 30-60. Electric motors = 100% torque at 1rpm

youd be surprised how much money i make in the summer proving it to dumbass people like you with your over powered car.

My car does not idle at 1rpm. The range it idles in still produces more torque than your entire car.

Not to mention, if we were doing a rolling race from 30 I'd be running at my peak power band position. From a dig is where you'd potentially have more torque-- if I started the race with the ignition of my vehicle.

The weight though is nice here in the winter, get's through the snow a lot better than most cars.

now if i had my fj it would be a different story
271 hp at 300 torque

v6

It'd be the same story. I have 332 horsepower at the crank with 270 ft-lb of torque. And my car weighs a whopping 800 pounds less than yours.

EDIT: I'll give you a scenario where you'll win though, if there's any snow or slush on the road. I run race track tires and while they work fine in the rain, I wouldn't move a foot in the snow.

my friends family's honda odessesy's goes up to 160, lol. It's not gonna go that fast.

Also $trinict, the chances of the new Prius looking like that is really slim. I mean, when was the last time a prototype actually looked like final product? XD

Funny you should say that.  On Gran Turismo 5, I fine tuned a '02 Honda Odyssey and I got it going 204mph.  It had improved aerodynamics and a lot of added parts though.  I also probably sunk like $200K in it too.  Not very realistic either in terms of performance and overall price (it'd probably be more).

Toyota is just trolling now.  The 1st gen Prius is the only one that didn't look hideous.

Gran turismo is the farthest from realistic car tuning speed wise ever.  It's fun in a good way though, the stuff you can do to cars in that game is hilarious, and it's not much different in GT 6.
