And Ford pulls them out.

'Cept for Corvettes of course ;o

that truck ain't even stuck
check the tow hook on the back bumper

Because mudding is fun. I never done it with a truck but I've done it with my bike multiple times. The main goal is to get as muddy as you can without getting stuck.
So, destroy your stuff as much as you can without actually breaking it. Sounds fantastic. Maybe I'm just a city boy, but I like to keep my possessions clean and as in tact as possible.

Your vehicle will only get broke if you don't know what you're doing. Mudding trucks are actually modified to high hell with special parts and such. Its not just "Hey Bill lets take our new trucks and run into some mud"
I used to go to mud runs all the time, the vehicles there were another sight.

rock crawling >x100 mudding

That shock-lift system is lovey.

I mean, driving through mud itself causes damage. It's corrosive to paint and even if you wash it off it'll cause horrible scratches and swirl marks.

Not if you know what you're doing. I've seen plenty of people wash mud off their vehicles after mudding and still have their paint with very little cosmetic damage.

if you spray all the grit off with water before you wash it you should be fine

I still don't see the appeal. What's fun about driving through mud?

its fun going through water deeper than your hood and getting through and saying "i just did that"

plus its sooper complicated
you got
diff locks
on-board air compressors to lower the tire pressure at will
over-axle leaf springs or under-axle leaf springs
coil-overs or separate spring and shock
independent or solid axle
lots of gears and gear reduction
multiple gear transfer-cases

I can't explain why its fun to be honest. Something about it.

so on the topic of off-roaders

i sheared one of the drive cups on the front axle in half

and i mean in HALF it looks like it was cut in half by a saw lol

so gay looking
at least it isn't a rectangle with a hole in the back
