I was behind a Kia a couple months ago and the brake lights were stuck on.  His lights were not on or anything and I they weren't flickering like riding the brakes.  I couldn't tell when he was stopping....and he was driving about 10 under the speed limit.
maybe he was pressing the brake while driving lol
didn't someone here mention that they used to accidentally do that a lot cus they drove with one foot on the brake? idk

Most accidents here occur with people passing from manual to automattic. They confuse the brake with the clutch.

May have been me actually.  I used to have a foot on the gas and my other one ready to use the brakes.  My foot would get tired though and it would end just touching the brakes a tiny bit.  My mom nipped at me for that when she was driving behind me though, so I'm a one foot driver now.  More comfortable too.

yeah it was you, I remember you said your mom was the one who told you about it

Welcome to Argentina where you can corrupt the most corrupted.
Right... Someone hasn't seen my states constitution. 4x the length of the US constitution and basically written to be corrupt.

I put new headlight assemblies on my Malibu and then a 5k HID kit and that stuff is blinding. I went on the highway and people flashed me because they thought my brights were on. :(

I can't comprehend why new cars are having electrical stuff especially BRAKES and STEERING. What the forget happens if your battery dies or some stuff while on the road? You're going to kill yourself or someone else. What kind of dumbass thought of that?

holy stuff electro lol

power steering and braking have been around for a long time, if you didn't have either you'd need ripped arms and pretty strong legs to stop and turn your car without struggling. Both still work without powered assistance, it's just a lot harder and scarier to operate

As long as the engine is on and fueled, there's no way you'll run out of battery. The engine produces more power than what the car consumes. That's why, if you have a dead battery, you need jumper cables to start it and it will run smoothly until you turn it off.

But of course, if you have the AC on, a minifridge (via those DC-to-AC converters), and while watching Breaking Bad via the tv (assuming the car has one), there's a higher chance of your car turning off midroad. If you're driving a manual, hold the clutch and drive until the road's friction slows it to a stop. If you're driving an automatic, I have no idea what you'd do if this were to happen.

I learned this the hard way.

You'd probably also need to buy replacement parts much more often too.

So, for some reason my mom randomly texted me saying that my dad is going to go ahead and get a new Porsche Carrera, and that it's indeed going to be a manual transmission. I really want him to get the amazing and beautiful Targa model, but the price hasn't been released yet. Major sad face.
