Only $10 for a car wash? Damn. Even if I take my car through one of those scratch-the-forget-out-of-your-paint-with-our-spinning-brushes drive-thru car washes, I still pay like $15-20. I get hand washes though, and where I used to go they'd charge $50 for a hand wash and the place I go now charges $30.

A question for you fellow people of the US, how much do you guys get charged for an hour in a parking garage? Yesterday, my dad was charged $100 for an our which would be around $10 USD.

$8 to $45 depepending on location, time of day, convenience, etc. in Chicago.

Usually around $8 an hour. During high demand times (like during baseball and football games) they jack up the prices to $15 an hour. I've never seen $45 before though.

lucky Californian :(

Ok. I always compare prices here with prices in the US because sometimes they try to add a few 0's to the number. With the inflation here, they raise the prices because:
1- They need to make a living.
2- THey need to pay their employees the minimum required by law
3- They raise them JiC.

My dad either washes the car(s) at a wash where he is supplied with the soap brush and water which I think is around $4-$8 because I always see him paying in quarters, or he just does it at home which is virtually free (we have no water bill, so its just the cost of soap I guess).

Here in Minnesota it's good to get a carwash like that so you can spray salt off the undercarriage where most people cant reach.

We always wash our own cars.

hopefully getting a loan for a car soon <3

kinda related to the thread. i'm working at the car wash next year, getting paid for each card washed, not per hour.

How much per hour and how many cars per hour?

How much per hour and how many cars per hour?

it's going to be summer and people are gonna be driving a lot. maybe approx. 50+ customers every 3 days

5 dollars per car times 50 would be approx 225 (25 deducted for taxes)

saving the money for 1 month would be 1000+ (buying needs)

maybe that may be too much.
