So, for some reason my mom randomly texted me saying that my dad is going to go ahead and get a new Porsche Carrera, and that it's indeed going to be a manual transmission. I really want him to get the amazing and beautiful Targa model, but the price hasn't been released yet. Major sad face.

that vehicle is loving hideous.

we all have opinions. i for myself dont like porches at all, but i do like that audi looking body panel going across the top.

im a full size car dude lol

i quite like the look of it

not as much as the old onesdid you expect me to say anything different lol

It's not 'unamerican,' if anything it's 'uneuropean.' Most cars in America are auto transmissions, we're the lazy slobs of the world so that makes sense. In other places (like Europe) manual prevails.

Anyway, it's something that takes practice. The concept is easy enough, but it's entirely brown townog so there is little-to-no room for error and it requires precise operation to be driven properly. Hell, I'm not good enough at shifting to always shift between two gears smoothly without the passengers being pushed forward when I put in the clutch and the car stops accelerating. I just think it's interesting that I'll be fine-tuning my crude experience with manual on a loving Porsche.

You're crazy. It's sleek as forget. Old models of the Carrera look weird and bulbous, this one looks sharp and venomous.

ferraris and lambos look p cool but porsche kind of reminds me of VW beetles

i can't heel-toe my spider

it makes me sad :c

I did not know that lol. Thanks for the info haha.

anyways do you guys have any theft prevention in your cars? like, are they in any way to deter your car getting jacked? (besides manual transmission joke lol)

i myself have a killswitch

so i bought this can of sealant that's supposed to seal the heads for a while until we can get money to get a new car. works quite good actually. think muffler may have hole in it too, any ideas of fixing this? tape? welding?

The first time I ever downshifted I entirely accidentally heel-toed. I put in the clutch too early because I was nervous as forget, so I hit the brake with my right foot then realized my RPMs had fallen below 1k so I rotated my right foot and tapped the gas to rev up the rpms before shifting. I didn't even realize what I was doing until I'd went around the corner.

I have a car alarm, but I've never heard it go off and I've left my car unlocked overnight a billion times by accident before. Where I live people don't really jack stuff though, my friend has left his backpack with computer in it in the bed of his pickup truck over a weekend before and when he got back it was still there, much to his surprise.

Welding should fix it, but it'll probably make your exhaust sound like stuff.

oh yeah btw we finished rebuilding the engine.

gotta have dat highrise aluminum intake manifold by edlebrock

and them 375 horse heads from dat 69 corvette

hell we ended up putting a new crank and pistons in it. bearings and rod were torn UP.

not sure whether my carb is a holley 650 or 600, but its got an electric choke and it runs loving amazingly when its cold

whatever doesn't get me a ticket.

When I get a job and save up a few paychecks, I'm planning on putting this on credit:

so guys whats the ratio of engine power to body looks to you?

for me it would be maybe 40% body and 60% engine

for my car id have to say its about 70 body to 30 engine.

going to pull the carbs off of my spider again and clean them again

you know maybe if i ran a airfilter i wouldn't have to do this
