One question: why?
My first car was my dad's with 20k on it and my Audi was brand new. Never really had an old car besides my Eclipse I just use to mess around in.
Also just got the money from my trade in. Been driving my old Eclipse around for the past few days. Gonna check out the 2014 C7 at the Chevy dealership down the street from me if it stops snowing.

That's a beautiful car. :D I still can't believe though that the C7 and Pontiac Aztec were designed by the same guy though...

Yeah it really is. Super high price range for me though. Debt isn't fun.

Yah. Do you like the Scion FRS? Fun car, and could save you some cash.

You can't get a C7 legally yet. You have to sign my adoption papers (still five months from being 18) and take me home with you.  But if your forum age is correct, that probably wouldn't go through....so....

lolz

The scion FR-S costs about half of the price range he's looking in and has very little power. It's an incredibly fun car, but I honestly don't think it's what he's looking for.

isn't he looking for eye candy? that car definitely sticks out, especially in this orange color

and sliding around may impress people even more than a car that is simply quick

Perhaps. Really though, if he can afford it, I think he should get an M3 M4. Or at least a 4 series, IDK how expensive the M line is.

oil being roasted on an exhaust manifold smells a lot like burning plastic

I don't really want to know what you were doing lol

Btw, who likes the smell of burning rubber?  I.

oh no lol its just that my car has a bad head gasket on the same side as the exhaust manifold
its not big enough to cause any real problems right away but still smells though

Ah.  Last major car problem we had was when the calipers on the van got so low they were practically sanded off.  They had 95,000 miles on them.  Before that one of the springs on my dad's old commuter snapped when he and I were driving into a parking lot.  There was a loud grinding noise and the car fell on the front tire.  Left the car in the parking lot for like three days until we could rent a trailer to bring it home.

Cheaper the better if I like it. Not a big Scion fan though.

Toyota 86 is only available in Asia, Africa, and South America.  He has to settle for Scion or Subaru if it were even considered.
