eugh i hate it when a teenager sees a cool car like these and does that to it
i like my cars to look stock, but have alot of power under the hood.
i mean i dont have a bias for other cars, but i really hate it when somebody does that to their car
I hope you realize that those cars are
actually racecars, not some teenage kid's independent art project. I'm not a fan of rice cars but I understand that there's a reason that people try to replicate the look-- it has actual functionality on real race cars.
Why do people slap all the damn body kits in the world on their car, as if it would 'improve' performance. Your ordinary car would never be able to reach a high enough speed for the downforce it creates to actually be effective. It's basically just weight. I hate newer cars because of this: they're too round and boring to actually be interesting. To me, they're all "the round one". I like older cars because of how distinct they are compared to now.
As for aerodynamics, I reach speeds where extra downforce is required
daily. The GT-R is sculpted as an aerodynamic masterpiece and when I drive it hard I can
feel the suction to the road as the tires start to lose grip around a corner. The car's onboard computer system monitors all forces acting on the car, and when cornering properly the car can reach about 1.2-1.3 G lateral force. Without every bit of the car's body forcing the tires to stick to the road, that much force laterally would look similar to what would happen if you tried to drive on the side of a building.
