I have two incomplete 240z's in my backyard
one dirt car and the other a bare chasis and body
we need a 4cyl motor to make the dirt car eligible to race and it currently has a 6cyl

So, on the topic of my friend's recent GT-R crash:

My day was just instantaneously ruined by my friend sending me an image.

Total, the repairs will cost $15,000. Thank god for insurance, right? I don't remember the full list of what he said they're fixing, but I know they're replacing the front-right intercooler and its bracket (which costs $2,300. For a loving bracket.) plus the headlight, a rim, the tire that goes on said rim, and a couple of panels. Essentially, the front right bit of the shell of the car costs more than a Ford Fiesta.

in other news today is the day that ford started taking order for the model A

Quote
On this day in 1903, the newly formed Ford Motor Company takes its first order from Chicago dentist Ernst Pfenning: an $850 two-cylinder Model A automobile with a tonneau (or backseat). The car, produced at Ford's plant on Mack Street (now Mack Avenue) in Detroit, was delivered to Dr. Pfenning just over a week later.

So the insurance is definitely covering majority?

Happy 101st.

So I really want to do some stuff to my car. Not really looking into increased performance yet but I'm stumped as to what i can do to a relatively new car. It's a 2011 328i already with M sports package. (It's just an aesthetics thing. No increased performance from that.) That BMW dark gray with Pearl whiteish interior. Any suggestions?

I can post pics later.

Insurance covers everything but the deductible. His deductible is $500, so he's effectively paying for one tire.

Couldn't get much better than that.  Pretty lucky to be getting off so easy.

Speaking of which, on the recent van that we had, the 2008 E-350, a rock came up and smashed into the windshield while on the highway.  A new windshield cost $245.  The insurance deductible said that it was $250.  We were just like, "The heck?" and I don't think we ever fixed it.  Or if we did, it was during the last week that we had it.

matte cars appreciation post

(i have seen this matte green so loving much in my area and it is goddamn beautiful, gets old though.)

by the way, anyone have any experiences with plastidip? How does that go? When i hopefully get my evo (if i ever do) then i would wan tit like the blue one I posted above.

Ew, matte. I like my cars shiny.

jesus christ
that green is bad enough alone. but MATTE???!??!?

also the only matte colors I really like are black and white

isn't it dreamy? Idc what people say but hatchbacks are always the best for leisure rides.

oh and also the mini cooper is p hot imo

I like metallic colors over normal gloss but matte is okay in certain situations.

Such as this Aventador in nero nemesis.

I saw an old Mini Cooper today, like the famous old one from the '60s.
