Opinions on rotary engines?

Found out yesterday that my AC system just decided it was giving up.  Currently my compressor runs fine as it is extremely audible, but the entire system that blows air through the vents, either hot or cold, is not functioning but instead makes a semi-quiet grinding noise somewhere.  Unfortunately the earliest appointment I could make yesterday was next Tuesday :(

Now I have to spend a week with a car that has no airflow whatsoever with humid as stuff weather that will cool down by Monday.  Thankfully my $1200 extended warranty can pay itself off and only make me pay the $100 deductible to have it all fixed up right.

The bearings in my A/C pulley are shredded into random metal pieces. The car now sounds like a percussion cymbal getting blasted with sand. The pulley turns extremely slow (normal speed where the belt connects though) and I don't feel good about using the A/C anymore. It might be okay, but eh. Every day is still 90+ degrees outside so I just drive with all my windows down, which sucks since I have allergies.

Now you guys know what i go through everyday :)

Neat, but not really practical.  Low torque/hp ratio, not that reliable, not very economical.

I've had a Ford Windstar. Engine blown at about 300k km. Currently have a chevy S10 with 600.000 km. I am going to buy a Lada Laika for myself at the end of the year with 1.200.000 km.

Same. I was reading up on RX-8's today. I had always thought they were cool until I started reading owner reviews

what kind of car?

I saw a black Nismo 370Z today, just like this one.

I'm gonna buy two new rear tires for my Kia Spectra and sell it for a truck or motorcycle. Opinions?

There's a big difference between a truck and a motorcycle.

I think they should stick to putting them in airplanes, rather than cars or tanks.
