If i didn't live all the way on the east i would help :(

I've disconnected the sensors and the intake thermostat and pulled off the rubber intake hose. There might be a tb gasket though, so looking it up and hoping it won't need to be replaced.

Well the cleaning is done. Worked until after the sun went down. My dad managed to find time so we worked for a while. We couldn't figure out how to unlatch the throttle cables from the body but it didn't matter. And holy mother of heck was it dirty in there.

We polished out the entire throttle body down to bare shiny metal. We even cleaned out some the air intake as it leads into the engine as well as the EGR hose. It's still really bad deeper into the engine but cleaning that would require disconnecting all the fuel injectors, releasing the fuel pressure in the fuel rails, and disconnecting several hoses.

On my own I think I solved the whole tugging predicament that the car would do in parking lots and at stoplights, where it would gradually accelerate by itself. The carbon was clogging the TB so bad that I think it was preventing the throttle plate from closing all the way, thereby leaving the throttle slightly opened. I bet it hit my gas mileage too. I haven't driven the car yet and don't want to right now since we put so much cleaner in there and spilled a little coolant on the exhaust, so I'll take it out tomorrow morning and see how it behaves.

Its funny how i posted this 4 days ago
I don't understand how someone could live with a regular cab truck
THEY'RE JUST SO TINY ON THE INSIDE
But now i want a jeep J10

when i was watching a documentary about the SLS AMG they showed that if the car rolls over the doors will jettison off so the driver can get out because the doors open upward instead of out
im wondering if these could do the same thing

i doubt it will ever end up on its top but i dont want to burn to death or some stupid stuff just because i want my car to look cool
i dont see anything about these doors being able to do that

Do you own a Fiat 500? :/

Car continues to have trouble but I seem to have better and firmer throttle response.

I have a 99 Regal. Saving up for something different tho.

I was quoted 4k/year for insurance on an RSX Type-S that I'd buy with a loan, and that's with loads of discounts, no tickets and no accidents.

My insurance has gone down a stuffload and I'm not entirely sure why. When I first got licensed, I was paying upwards of $500 a month, but now I'm paying about a hundred a month. It's only been two years, and I'm a 19 year old dude with a sports car so who knows. But that got me thinking, so I ran my quote on Geico (not my current insurer) just to see what they'd say and they said $112 a month, so again wtf.

Why are you complaining bro? A lower insurance is always good

What's the coverage plus deduct cause that's typically where the price gets you

Hagerty gave me $373 a year for the alfa

not bad
sucks i'm too young to get it though
