I probably will never own a motorcycle. Too dangerous and impractical.

I personally don't mind motorcyclists as long as they don't act like morons and make sure everyone in the world knows they have some stupid plastic sport bike.

Also king of 420  :cookieMonster:

Queen of 420.

I particularly hate how motorciclists ride their bikes with: pick two.
Helmet
Lights
License Plate.

They ALWAYS miss one of those three, making driving a living hell for me. I personally love to cut off motorcycle starfishs that attempt to pass me through my right.

Well, I drove for the first time today. Just did some braking and accelerating practice and some figure eights in a parking lot.

dangerous
  • Almost half of the fatal accidents show alcohol involvement.
  • In the multiple vehicle accidents, the driver of the other vehicle violated the motorcycle right-of-way and caused the accident in two-thirds of those accidents.
It's really not as dangerous as people make it seem if you're not handicapped. Most of the time it's other people doing stuff like

While the motorcyclist is definately wrong, he's not gonna do much apart from scratching your car if it goes wrong. On the flipside, you'll probably kill them with your retaliation if it goes wrong.

make sure everyone in the world knows they have some stupid plastic sport bike.
  • The failure of motorists to detect and recognize motorcycles in traffic is the predominating cause of motorcycle accidents.
Unless you mean as in boasting about having one, then yes, totally agree with you.
I agree about the impractical bit, but at least not all of my licenseless friends will be asking me for rides all the time.

Someone likes motorcycles

Someone likes motorcycles
Yes, I do. That's why I'm buying one?

well then you must like motorcycles
thats why you're buying one

That stuff should be common knowledge for any driver. My guard is constantly up when driving near a motorcycle. It makes me nervous driving behind them if they're acting like idiots or being careless.

Motorcyclists that try to start road rages with people are handicapped. I have seen it happen a couple times (minor incidents, nobody died). I mean, even an 1,800lb Smart car outweighs a motorcycle enough to throw them off the road or into oncoming traffic.

As for my opinion of safety, I really don't care who's fault it is that the motorcyclist is seriously injured or dies. I just don't want to be the guy on either side of the accident. Car or motorcycle, my fault or not, just no

Also cars are forget expensive in Europe.

Car:
Write off: 90 euros/month on most midrange cars
Insurance WA: As a new driver, 130 euros/month
Road tax: 63 euros/month
Fuel (50km round trip, 22 days/month at 20km/l): 93.50 euros/month
---
376.50 euros/month = 422.21 dollars/month

Motorcycle:
Write-off: 16.67 euros/month
Insurance WA: 15.00 euros/month
Road tax: 9.67 euros/month
Fuel (50km round trip, 22 days/month at 30km/l): 62.34 euros/month
---
103.68 euros/month = 116.27 dollars/month

I save: 305.97 dollars/month
This is enough to buy a brand new motorcycle every 23 months.
Driving a car is 363% more expensive than driving a motorcycle.
This is already assuming a really efficient car that drives at 47mpg.

If I had the space to store a bike, I'd have bought one already instead of saving up for a decent car

not only is TheArmyGuy right when he says they're much cheaper than owning a car, but they're liberating and rad af

Which is why you use natural gas cars. My Laika does 8km to a liter of gas and a full tank (100l) costs around $40 pesos which is a bit less than $3 USD.

Except lpg costs 0.703 euros per liter here, so a full tank of 100l would be closer to 100 dollars.
