is that really a big deal? it takes me like 15 minutes max to be in a different county, and I think I have a pretty average size county, at least for southeastern states
Well, I do live right on the western county line, so that isn't a big deal at all, but there's nothing interesting out that way but thick populations of meth cooking rednecks and a few lowly gas stations, bars, and little convenience stores dotted along the highway before the next substantial town about 15 miles away.
I crossed over the southern county line today into a county that I haven't been in once since 2011. Once again, all that I found was sparse rednecks and trailer homes. Speeding tickets were doubled, I found a state park, a gas station in the middle of nowhere, and a lot of trees. The next town was about 30 miles further so I decided not to go too far and turned around.
