w a n t
also how 2 convince mother to let me have one lol
This is a pretty good price I think, my friend got '96 NA with 80k miles in a less signature color (it was painted dark blue, the miata never came in that color) with no stuffty aftermarket dashboard or hardtop for $5.5k. I think his had been driven in Florida for most of its life and in a garage otherwise, so it was pretty rust free.

It's definitely not a super practical or safe car so it could be hard to convince your mom. It's a sports car but you can't really go so fast that you end up a smear on the wall unless you put turbo on it or something, so you could tell her that it's a fun car that you won't hurt yourself in. It's a very sought after collectible car so you could convince her it's a good investment even.

Dont even look at me unless you use adams patriot wax you dirty commies

good investment

Not good word choice about buying cars lol

Seems like a good plan.

I'm going to have a parking spot at my apartment during the school year, but my car will be in the elements for like 5 months since it's outside. (I go to school in snowy ass Michigan) Would it be hard to prevent it from rusting? If I don't drive it over the salted roads that often will I be good?

I mean I'd tell you to power wash the undercarriage regularly but I imagine car washes close over the winter months especially in MI

Lol work computer telling me to take a break. I screenshot the original so it wouldn't be too big imbedded here

i wish my work computer gave me notifications telling me to take a break. instead i get email notifications telling me i "get" to "lead" (work on by myself) 8 new projects

welcome to the best state in all of the rust belt u cheeky cunt!!!!!!!!!
never driving on salted roads is impossible unless your city/township decides to save money and use sand instead. Like xr said all you really need to or can do is wash the undercarriage or pay for rust protection. I just sprayed my car down at least once a week with a yard hose-- hot water to wash it, cold water to rinse

the only issues i've ever had with winter rust on my bmw is when i got deep rock chips on my hood, which unfortunately happens often on M-6 thanks to big construction trucks launching a dozen loving rocks every time they hit a small crack in the road

thanks m8s
its ann arbor (not that big) so i was hoping maybe the side streets i live on wont get salted
ill look into rust protection
i dont want to bet the farm on hosing it down regularly being enough (esp since i dont have a jack so idk how id access the undercarriage that easily) so ill probably just buy a stuffbox or smthn

is there anything a miata can't do

is there anything a miata can't do
Miata Is Always The Answer

Almost certain I found the reason my truck gets 6mpg and the engine is always roaring, would say 70% of the radiator was covered in Oregon brush n stuff.

before

after

i bet that in 6 pages from now, people are going to be posting a combination of brutally destroyed cars and cars themed after the devil
