Author Topic: How to attract people to my server?  (Read 5764 times)

What I do is make a topic the day before it opens, make an rtb dedi server, reply to posts, post when it opens, and wait.

Sometimes it doesn't take too long, it might though.
It really depends on what the people want to play, unfortunately you can't control that.

But when a few people come in, others will start to notice the server.

this is probably the best thing you can do

I remember my bedroom free build. It was intriguing how many people wanted any kind of bedroom, static shapes or not.
I pretty close to max player count.

If people don't come to your server, then the answer is simple. Beat them with a frozen ham. They'll learn soon enough.

there's like no way to attract people to your server anymore because all of the players are on the most popular servers.

Boulder dash was popular for one day and then they all went back to family rp

sorry to burst your bubble bud
Exactly, people join popular servers so much that they barely check new ones.

Guys, how do you think those "popular servers" get popular? The same way any other server can: they attract players. It's not as if they start out with 32 players.

1. Name it a family RP
2. After lotsa players, change the title to what you want
3. yay

If only... :p

1. Learn to code
2. Spam the add-on board with add-ons for 3 days consecutively
3. Host uber cool mods everyday, occasionally make a DM with them or something

works for me?
I can get about 16 people on a server to play with an item that does absolutely nothing, but about 2 people on a server playing a tdm

If you are easily noticed on the forums and in blockland, you will stick out and people will join your server, only if you stick out for a good reason.
no notoriety

1.forget bitches
2.get riches

Ya but I always start with 32 playersszssss can't beat it

My server name is "Paradon's smelly farts" and people join all the time to pull stuffty jokes.

I hosted a Parkour server on my other comp that was able to run shader's on high and not lag at all. It quickly became populated to the point where it was like 16-20 Players and I started lagging terribly. I'm guessing it was because a Parkour server, a few friend's joined and the Brickcount so people know it might be a good game.

One time I hosted the default gamemode "Pirate Deathmatch" and left the server up over night when I was asleep.
Came back in the morning and it had 40+ players that were nonstop headbutting each other in the chat.
