This looks great but

Why did such a great contributor do something like this^

Clueless!

Not the same guy

Here is a comparison between the old and new

I would love the new one if it didn't have the smooth shaded torso

I would love the new one if it didn't have the smooth shaded torso
I believe that would look very ugly since it's separated in three parts

Everything should be smooth shaded. Except the hip.

Interesting conversation with Filipe

BL | Redconer: Are you trying to animate the blockhead model for sfm
Filipe1020: yup

Filipe1020: this model is excellent
Filipe1020: alot of people are complaining about the pants due that it's smooth and round, and that's a stupid thing to complain about
BL | Redconer: inb4sfmavatarthread
Filipe1020: it makes the blockhead more HD
Filipe1020: nah
BL | Redconer: I don't complain about the pants
Filipe1020: good
Filipe1020: but most of the people on the topic did
Filipe1020: it would look ugly to add the original pants
Filipe1020: since the torso is smooth shaded
BL | Redconer: I can imagine
Filipe1020: and the rest is
BL | Redconer: I wonder if you can make blockland bricks for sfm
Filipe1020: I don't know how to make models for sfm
Filipe1020: it's masterlegodude who knows
BL | Redconer: That reminded me of Demian's signature
BL | Redconer: You know, it has blockland bricks in it
BL | Redconer: I wonder if Demian can make it possible
Filipe1020: yup

the new one looks like something ripped out of a Mexican cartoon or some stuff

Try to flat shade it and see how worse it can be on SFM, seriously stop complaining, legodude took a long time to make it work in-game (I've been chatting with him on steam since the begining of this project) and most of you guys here just complain because "the hips are smooth shaded or rounder" Stop being so ungreatful

"stop being ungrateful"

I don't use SFM, I never will. It's not a question of me being ungrateful, it's me voicing my opinion.
The torsoe does not look like the torso in blockland.

If you can't take the criticisim for something you've made, you shouldn't be releasing it to people.

Other than that, cool adaptatioin.

are you serious
This is a continual thing
It's ok to believe that he's serious

I think Filipe was going a little overboard with trying to defend me (sorry, yo), i'm fine with how you feel about the torso and everybody else hating on the pants

I just refuse to do anything about it because any modifications to the bare model would make it less like DarkStar's model, making the torso not smooth would either require making the torso not bendable at all, or flat shading it (which would look terrible, like a flat shaded sphere or something), and though i think the higher poly and smoother pants does look weird, but i've grown to like it on this model as it's been like that since almost the beginning ("almost" because the very first video DarkStar where two Blockheads fought over a Brick Tool used the original pants)

will this be in gmod?
Uuuhh......
