there are a bunch of FBI scams from downloading research or just random things off the internet

they also lock down your computer and force you to pay  them using a moneypak or something like that to unlock it

From personal experience, its ransomware that attempts to look legitimate from the FBI
To remove it, you usually pay a fine to get rid of it.
It also prevents you from using Safe Mode, so you need to take it to a Tech shop to repair it

a specific person would never receive individual warnings. if they thought you had or looked at child research you would know about it when the are knocking at your door.

also you may never know if it was the FBI or not anyways. all the departments just call themselves dhs
