Author Topic: Doctor Who Megathread -- New Season in July?  (Read 13301 times)

Season 1 isn't really good example... They had no budget, portraying the show as cheaply funded and gimmicky.
So like classic Who?

Spoiler:
John Hurt isn't the 9th Doctor, Eccleston is still the 9th. The regeneration that McGann went through wasn't a natural regeneration, it was brought on by the Sisterhood of Karn. So the numbers stay the same.

I still think it used the McGann's regen energy, though.

It's not blank, I swear:
It's just a waste of time to renumber the Doctors.

1. Hartnell
2. Troughton
3. Pertwee
4. Baker
5. Davison
6. Baker #2
7. McCoy
8. McGann
(War Doctor) John Hurt
9. Eccleston
10. David Tennant
11. Matt Smith

The way that we count regenerations is very specific. We don't count David Tennant using his regeneration energy to make the Meta-CrCIA Doctor. We don't count Matt Smith using his energy to fix River's hand in Angels Take Manhattan. But, most importantly, we don't count the Valeyard. The Valeyard is very similar, in concept, to John Hurt's Doctor. It's an inbetween, so it doesn't count as a proper Doctor.

I tried three episodes in three different seasons. Hated it.

This show seems like hipster bait.
This is true.

I watched four whole seasons of the show before I was so disghusted I had to quit watching it. It seems its primary subliminal purpose is to condone and promote liberal-sided politics.

You're trolling, right?

Sorry for the bump, but why is the doctor in season 1 different than the one in season two.

Maybe the 7 year gap but EH.

Who else is going to see Day Of The Doctor tonight?

Well you're wrong

whenever the doctor dies he has a thing called regeneration which allows him to have up to 13 lives but he must change his body, its why the series has lasted 50 years

So, are people around here all for Moffat or Russel T Davies?
I'm a Davies man myself.  Also a Tennant person (I'd say 10, but not sure what to say with all that happened during Day of the Doctor).

I always did like Fezes, but Dr. Who made it so I can't wear it without people thinking it's a reference or some jazz ;/

Long live the Doctor.
