I left it running when I left but there was a power outage twice while I was gone.

That's most likely your problem. Did you, by chance, have it hooked up to a surge protector?

A surge of power is not good for your computer, it is probably beyond repair, or repair costs would be equal to just getting a new computer.

This is why I turn my computer off when I leave.

Machine check exception errors indicate a problem with your CPU. If it was damaged by a power surge, the motherboard and RAM are likely to be toast too.

This guy had the same thing, and taking out the graphics card stopped the error. Try doing that.

After some quick research, this error means something's wrong with the processor.

It must have been forgeted up from the power surge.

Funny thing is... She hasn't yet stated that she wasn't hooked up to a surge protector or that there even was a power surge. Don't just assume there has been. Power outage =/= power surge.
