My "hundred rocket brigade" was voided though, so that's not a problem.  I now have a colony no larger than an American middle class ranch house.  (not including solar panel assembly since those take up a lot of room)

Swat, that's not for you to request.  In reality there would be tons of abandoned satellites from the 21st century crashing down on Earth because they were not sustained.  It doesn't have to involve my land for me to give you a head's up.  These happen all the time in Earth threads- just roll with it.

Anyways, the satellite crashes the shore of upper Lake Michigan at 1:43 AM at the date predicted.  A SFR town reports that the satellite crash has started a forest fire.  Michigan residents notice that the air is a bit more gray than usual.  UFA is also detecting more satellites about to snag the atmosphere, most predicted to crash into oceans, but notable cites include the Mexico City region, East Tibet and the Indonesian Islands.  UFA is considering a missile system that targets any incoming space debris and intercept it before it can cause any damage to the UFA interior or UFA interests.  In the mean time, fighter jets will attempt to break it up at high altitudes so that debris will not reach the UFA soil.
