so my family decided to go mushroom picking
my parents are from russia so we do this kind of stuff regularly
we went to a forest like 5 minutes drive from our house, very cool forest

so we started to take a walk/hike
oh and look what we found 2 minutes into it

giant-ass mushroom, don't know how its called in english
we find like 10 of them

then we found like 10 other types
it was pretty cool
my mom fried them up with some potatoes, it was so loving good
and then the white ones are going to be salted for a week
so yeah discuss mushroom picking

Awesome! I've been to Seattle before. I would go mushroom picking if I had the chance, but how do your parents distinguish a poisonous mushroom between a non-poisonous mushroom?

every now and then id go around my neighborhood and look at some, but theres never anything this amazing

i need to live closer to a forest

the same way you distinguish a strawberry from any other poisonous berry
i mean mushroom picking is way more widespread in eurasia than here in america
its pretty much common knowledge in some countries there

i forgot to take a picture but we also found a lot of these still in closed form

they might look kinda scary but you'll quickly change your mind once they are sitting cooked on your plate

they grow to giant sizes
too bad the ones we found were still kinda small, no taller than 6 - 7 inches
