how do I see what the town wants without actually building a station next to it and look at demands?

Also how do I check whether my train station will be loaded by the factory with goods? So I mean how far away can I build a station with it still being able to load goods from the factory?

turn on "show coverage area" or w/e when you're placing it

it should also say what it accepts and supplies
