Author Topic: Screen Bricks  (Read 489 times)

I got this idea a while back and thought I'd post it.

Basically, you can play video files on a small or large brick.

There'd be 2 settings,
1. Picture/Print - When a video is not playing it would show the specified print. (Could be edited via events or printer)
2. Videos - A video file which is played when triggered by a playVideo event.

Events:
playVideo - Plays a video file.
setPicture - Sets a default picture.

Sorry for lack of input, I'm on a Wii currently.

I don't know if this can be done, but this would be awesome to have. I just wonder how long it'd take to download videos from joining a server....

See, that's one of the problems.

Also engine limits may prevent this,

I had a plan of making this before because someone on a server made a GIF looping event (Just some events and then a fire relay). It inspired me to do this, but now I have more of the idea, I could start working on this, unless someone that is better than me can do this.

EDIT: Yea, I am not going to waste my time on this since the datablock limits could reach easily.

Pretty sure this isn't possible. Unless you had like, 500 prints and you kept switching it to make it look like a video. But that'd be ridicules and increase loading time a ton.

And the datablock limit would make it that at 20 fps, the video would only last 3.4 minutes
