EDIT: Dubstep is mainly a calm, or otherwise somewhat bass-y tune. It's not something that screams at you for 3 minutes.

Actually, I do have to agree that it isn't a real genre, but one thing; dubstep can be anything, from a chill, slow, relaxing tune to a 3 minute overload of screaming wubbles. We're all just stating our judgmental decisions, but the point is, just listen to the tunes you like, that's all.
