Gamecube and Xbox360 contollers are the best imo, I also like the PS3 one but not as much as those two, but maybe my opinion will change once I get a Wii U and a Steam Controller

Mother loving 3 handles, only the skilled mother forgeters could use it.

Xbox360 for sure. It's the right size for my hands, is comfortable, all the buttons are in the right place for my fingers, said buttons are easy to press and my thumbs never slip off the thumb-sticks. I don't get why people have such negative opinions about the D-Pad, though. It's a D-Pad and it works as such, I've never had any problems with it and I don't understand why people have such gripes about it :l.

The Gamecube controller is probably the most comfortable controller I've ever used. But it's a bit small for my hands, the C-Stick and D-Pad are pretty stuffty and I always found that my thumb would slip off the thumb-stick easily.
I really don't like PlayStation controllers in general. The buttons, thumb-sticks and D-pad are all fine but the controller just feels too small and I just don't find the shape comfortable at all :/.
I don't remember enough about my experience with the N64 controller to have much of an opinion but I do remember that I found it quite awkward to use.

The Wii U's pro controller fits almost perfectly in my hands.

Its really light too, and an 80 hour batterylife doesn't hurt much.

According to everyone else the battery life is only 4-5 hours long

n64 controllers are a mystery

back in the day i used to play with them flawlessly but when i try to hold one properly now i wonder what kind of
three-armed alien
i was back then

All must bow down to the almighty Atari joystick.

The Dreamcast controller was like putting revolutionary technology in my hands.

A memory card with a screen? That you could interact with AND store data AND put in a controller?

That was new for a 5 year old like me.

According to everyone else the battery life is only 4-5 hours long
pro controller, dipstuff.

the pad is comfy too, though.

Wii - when handled as a motion controller, it's alright, i don't like it when i have to play it sideways for some games. loving Sonic Colors.
Xbox 360 - comfortable button placement and handles makes this my favorite out of the bunch. d-pad can be very crappy sometimes though
Dualshock - too small for me at this age, great d-pad when comparing to xbox
Gamecube - also comfortable, not as much as xbox though
N64 - it's okay if you don't mind the extremely out of place brown townog stick
SNES - atleast better than the NES
Genesis - a little bit awkward, but it's okay as well

Nintendo had the all the best controllers until wii+

I prefer the dual shock controllers the best but the gamecube controllers are still pretty nice.

The Nintendo 64 was a pile of stuff.
I mean, it was REALLY terrible.
First of all, 99%+ of human beings have 2 hands and of the remaining people, 99%+ have 1 or 0. I understand you weren't supposed to hold all 3 handles at once, but it's still a stupid design. Worst of all, the brown townog stick feels like cardboard forced into some more cardboard with a baseball bat. It grinds on the plastic and ends up being too loose or tight.

gamecube was the best controller

gamecube is my favorite controller, nothing else i've seen beats it

ps2/ps3 controller and xbox 360 controller are pretty nice too
