Well that little steam box came out to be 450 us dollars.

forza 5

if you can show me parts to build a computer that can run bf4 at max everything for less than $500, please do
Lol the xbox one isn't going to be able to run bf4 at max anything

ik?? I didn't say it would

ik?? I didn't say it would
Then why would you ask for someone to put together a computer rig that has to run bf4 at max for the same price as the xbox one? I could put together a rig that beats the specs of the xbox one for the same amount of money. I could probably do it with less money, to compensate for the cost of the kinect

because I would want there to be some benefit?

right, I didn't even think about kinect!
so yeah sure. if you can build a better computer than the xbox one, for less than four hundred dollars, including everything that I would need, because I only have a desk, then go ahead

Is watch dogs coming out anymore? Better not be a failure like "I am Alive" by Ubisoft.
Watch Dogs looks good.

Use your tv (the same one you would use for an xbox) as a monitor. Ask a shop teacher at your school for a crappy mouse and keyboard; you won't notice a difference between those and $200 keyboards unless you're not a casual gamer (xbox gaming is casual gaming). I find it hard to believe that you don't have a single mouse or keyboard in your house that you can use, especially considering that you have a blockland key...

well, okay
I have a couple of questions tho
how good is that exactly? like, bf4 as an example, could it run it on max settings at a framerate of at least 30fps? bc like I said it's not really a matter of just matching the xbox one for me, it's gonna take something serious to make up for no forza 5
how well would it keep up with games in the future?
and are the prices going to change in the next few months?

also the monitor, keyboard, and mouse are still issues. my television isn't private enough, considering I'd be doing more than just playing games on it, I don't have a school to get anything from, and we really don't have any keyboards here, we all use laptops. my mom has a wireless mouse but that isn't a permanent solution

right, I didn't even think about kinect!
r u srs have you seen this stuff

how well would it keep up with games in the future? expect to see outdatedness within 1-3 years depending on industry advances.
and are the prices going to change in the next few months? as always, black friday/cyber monday (specifically cyber monday actually) will have the lowest tech prices for all products.  retailers cash in on the huge sales and entice you with sales to buy on cyber monday.

It will run 720p low detail settings above 60fps, I would estimate that 30fps could get you medium-high settings at 720p (source) Nothing short of a Titan will run ultra at above 60fps, and the titan retails for $1000 lol. The big selling point for a pc is all the other stuff you can do with a pc, such as word processing, video editing, art, etc., not to mention PC exclusive games like blockland (several people here can vouch for the performance of the 7770 in BL). If you don't have an interest in any of that stuff, it's very possible that an xbox is a better choice because you wouldn't be taking advantage of everything offered by PCs. The build I linked you has a lot of potential for upgrading in the future, there's a good bit of overhead for the PSU, the cpu overclocks easily, and it's a quality motherboard. It's not hard to get a  decent 1600x900 monitor + keyboard + mouse for under $100 brand new (the money you would have spent on a kinect). Again, you'll have to evaluate your needs for the machine. If you're really desparate for money, I would check yard sales in your area, and even your local dump. You'd be surprised at what people throw away. The prices really aren't going to fluctuate that much, the graphics card price might even go down

Check the CPU and Motherboard one more time. You have two different socket types (FM2 and AM3+). Also, you're just barely reaching the minimum requirement of 400W for the graphics card, so I would consider getting another power supply.
