Deathmatch is very, very terrible.
Play at LEAST the defaults (de_x, cs_x), or play Jailbreak.

I need a gamemode which would give me maximum encounters per hour/minute, I'm trying to get good at this game even though there are so many better things to spend my time onand deathmatch seems to achieve this.
