Really, who would ever use :nes: in normal chat? What exactly does it show? Emoticons are intended to show emotion and honestly I'm not seeing much of it in an NES cartridge.

they are all swear words.

the words auto replaced things in a filter the forums use to use.

thats why in old posts few years back, you can see us all telling each other to eat ice cream, and calling each other donkeys and everything is nintendoing stupid.
