Author Topic: Just went ice skating  (Read 4482 times)

I just went ice skating for the first time. It was fun, and at the same time, I was kinda nervous.
The reason I was nervous is because the ice is hard, obviously, and I didn't feel like getting a faceplant into the ice without a helmet or any protective gear. People almost hit into me too. At first, I was just staying at the side of the rink, holding onto the boards, then I just basically said "f*ck this" and went off into the rink. I went pretty fast too. Yeah I fell like 8 times, but it was worth it.
I fell a lot of times, but one time I was flailing to keep balance and almost failed but I regained balance.

It was, everytime I fell the ground was freezing cold and numbed me. Ha, maybe thats why it's so cold, to numb your injuries if you fall.

I have always wanted to try ice skating

First ice skating experience was hilarious for me.

It was like when I was eight. Just like you, I couldn't let go of the wall until this girl with the finest booty I have ever seen in my life passes right by me. I had to skate for a better look. I was one horny kid.

My first ice skating experience, I only fell once, about an hour in because I was being reckless. I have years of inline skating experience, which definitely helps. Afterwards, however, I was still thinking to myself, "Compared to inline skates, turning sucks." Well, I found out later when at a winter camp that this is largely due to the fact that rental skates simply aren't sharp enough. When I put on those skates at that winter camp, I felt much more confident in my turns, 'cause they were actually sharp. I dominated that hockey game. :P

I should maybe invest in a pair of ice skates. I have a nice $130 pair of inline skates, so it kinda sucks when I gotta put on dull skates at the ice rink, knowing I could have my own pair. :/

I've been ice skating like 100 times. What the hell.

I've been ice skating so many times, however I still manage to fall over or hurt myself in some way every single time.

I was actually pretty good at ice skateing my first time. I just didn't find it difficult at all.
