to be honest as of now the fighting doesn't look fun to me, it appears to be more of a "wing it i guess" kind of fighting system
This is why I always thought it should have been a beat em' up perspective - but we've never discussed actual platforming, so now we've decided to make it a full-on beat em' up. This week has mostly been devoted to the combat and "feel" of the game. Even though we have not reached our current goal yet, I hope we come out with something great, I have a lot of faith in Zay for the swift combat and the pixel artists for the swift animations.
