what i'd really want is a way for a gamemode to connect multiple builds together

like if you reach a certain point in the build, the previous save get's cleared and a new one loads up, for a single-player/co-op adventure series

co-op gamemodes would be pretty cool

yep that was the idea

the closest thing someone made was BL Turmoil

the loading/clearing save thing should probably be an event and clear the bricks of certain bl_ids

yeah that'd work

just with public bricks.

aren't those like bl_id 888888 or 999999 or something?

it'd be cool if there were single-player and co-op gamemodes

but the main focus is on multiplayer

Maybe it could be an event?
It'd obviously would be admin-only, prob. host only if possible.

That way you could also use it on your own servers.

pretty much this. no one uses it to its full potential though, other than Pecon, who made the imscared gamemode.

we just need more coders, and that's exactly what the greenlight will bring in.
We've got plenty of coders, they're just all extremly accustomed to the old system.

they must adapt

they must be converted

People who say stuff like this are just small minded and unable to comprehend the benefits of such a system.
Sure, being able to download and select complete game-modes instead of having to figure out which dozens of add-ons you need to enable is awesome, but if it prevents you from enabling a few other required add-ons, such as administration tools, then it's completely useless.

Except for single-player gamemodes, like Pecon's imscared or klocko? kobble? klarck? (can't remember)'s castle puzzle map thing, there it works great.

what administration tools would you even need

what administration tools would you even need
That's an example.

That's an example.
i'm not following you

what administration "tools" would you want to enable anyway?

That has absolutely nothing to do with gamemodes
