Author Topic: Apple announces iPad Air and iPad Mini with retina display  (Read 10043 times)

I have my iPad 1 and I use it for drawing and playing music (guitar amp sim as well as some synth/drum tracking stuff). The larger screen is really nice when watching videos and browsing the web. :l

Nice to see OS X Mavericks released. Honestly, I don't give a stuff about their iPads.

OS X is literally the worst OS I have ever used. I hate having to touch it at my school's print shop.

I use my iPad 2 just to play Icebreaker: A Viking Voyage.
Worth several hundred bucks plus the price of the game

Still more stable then windows.

iPhone 5 resolution: 1136x640
Motorola Droid Mini resolution: 1280x720
As you can see, lower-end iOS electronics are usually inferior with display resolution.

Linux is more stable than Mac OS X or Windows, and it's free.

Go to hell. I use it everyday for school.

Oh my god that looks awesome

Even tho I still have an iPad 1st gen :(

Seriously go to a loving Apple store and actually LOOK at the device screens, don't just go by numbers.

The school you go to doesn't have a good grasp of technology, since 90% of us will be using Windows when we grow up.
Before 6th grade in my school district, all the students used Macs, but during middle school, they used Windows computers.
I think that's good, since Macs teach the basic concepts of computers, and Windows is preperation for everyday usage.

Still doesn't change the fact that the Motorola Droid Mini has a higher resolution.

Did you know that I am not considering iPads and Macbooks and Macintoshes?
Only the small, phone-sized ones.

Calm down there kiddo. I didn't say they were using future stuff. It's called sarcasm and the guy I quoted was saying they had futuristic stuff. Can you loving read?
You can't read, he was being sarcastic, he was suggesting that Apple is staying 10 years behind to wow people who don't know about technology.

Everyday usage, like randomly crashing for no reason.  Windows is broken as hell but people take that to mean it's for tech savvy people, and I don't mean in the Linux way of having to compile drivers, but in the sense that it has the stability of a two year old on a bike.

Doesn't mean it looks better.

The iPhone 4 and up has had retina, seriously. The clarity and sharpness of all the elements on screen look amazing.
