Yup.

girls arent as smart as boys and have trouble understanding things like math and logic

cmon everyone knows this stuff

so you're... anti-feminist? wtf am i reading here?

i recommend scratch/ti basic. they're definitely a good start on basic programming concepts, and once you have those down, do something like C or Java.

half of what she says is facetious.

Python is an easy yet powerful language to learn.

Learn Python3 by going through the tutorial. Don't forget that most languages (including Python2 and Python3) have standard libraries. The standard library documentation for Python3 can be found here.

Scratch is a really easy graphic language to start off with. After that I suggest moving onto something like Python. If you're good with that, then I'd suggest moving onto a C based language like C++, Java, or C#.

I support this. I learned Scratch, then Python, then C++.

> got super hyped
> no C or C++
Because C and C++ are compiled languages.
The way Codeacademy works (From the minute I looked at it) only works with interpreted languages

I started with Java, it was pretty easy to get into. Though I also think C++ is pretty easy to get into. But right now in school I'm about to get into the real Comp Sci classes which i'm pretty excited for. My next class I need to take is all about designing algorithms, which I'm pretty pumped to start.
