Me and my dad did this at home without a microscope
I forgot the exact process but we added some fluids to some mashed up kiwis and froze it, then when we took it out there were tiny white strands in it. Turns out it was enlarged DNA fibers that were made visible by the fluids we added

I suggest that every science class do something related to DNA Extraction. Its actually pretty fun
