I've used audacity for a while now, just to mess with and often to record my computers sounds or my voice for a video or something. But as far as actually editing the sound, audacity seems extremely limited.
I know I can make some very basic (pretty bad) sound effects, there's plenty of tutorials for that sort of thing. But I can never find any sort of tutorials for anything beyond that. For example- I can find tutorials for robot voices, Vader voices, and that sort of thing, but honestly they all sound pretty low quality. I've always wanted to figure out how to do some more cooler sounding voices or effects that are higher quality but I've found little-to nothing like that online.
Is Audacity just too limited for that sort of thing? Or do you have to know more about the various sound effects and options? I always read that online musicians use audacity in one way or another, which leads me to believe that I can do more with it, but if that's the case then I have no idea how.
