i haven't read the book but the movie was actually pretty stunning, definitely exceeded my expectations
like the concept was super cool, it flowed, and it had the modern up-to-date amount of special effects

the ending wasn't great (pretty abrupt), but from what my family who have read the book say, it hit the nail on the head in terms of book to movie.
