most of us have already seen this video

what, you want them to do work for free?
I'd rather pay for complete game rather, "oh we're sorry, will deliver those features later in a paid dlc".  See, your too young to remember how great things were before Activision and EA monetized the stuff out of everything. So buying features is normal for you, but is shunned among us long timers.

you do pay for a complete game
later, you get the option to pay for more

also, you're four years older than me

god this loving joke has been made a million loving times just lock this thread and jump off a cliff for being so autistic goddamn

Have played video games forever since my family got a pc in 1997.  Getting games complete on release has been the market standard forever until only recently. Before Modern Warfare 2, you got these things called expansion packs which offered almost the same amount of content for a full game. Now there are dlc's which charge you extra for a few maps and an exclusive gun.

they are released complete like I just said
idk what kinda games you've been buying dlc for tho. bf3 dlc included four maps each, and considering the size of the maps in that game that's more than enough (except for close quarters. but that was stupid anyway), several weapons each, several challenges each, at least one gamemodes each, and new vehicles and gameplay features

also you just said "there are downloadable contents"

what is with you and stuffty old games

>stuffty
>Doom

What the forget are you, some kind of hermit hick in the middle of nowhere who grew up playing linear cutscene slideshows of bullstuff super-American propaganda that are re-released every year with slightly different tilesets and titles?

I guess actual level design instead of "realistic" environments is way over your tiny head, so you really do need the "game" to hold your hand and tell you exactly where to go, you loving casual.

Unless we're talking multiplayer, which is just as stuff as the campaign due to a lack of dedicated servers and stupid design decisions leaving the game unbalanced as forget. But hey, the level design is just as stuffty in multiplayer anyway.

They spend billions of loving dollars on these games and sell millions of copies on release day, despite the fact that they're the same loving game year after year. If they have funds to shell out stupid ad campaigns and a barely different release every year, they don't need the monetary support from ports of stuffty maps from the previous game.

i like the guys white knighting a video game lol
seriously doom was groundbreaking at all but im pretty sure you guys dont actually play it 24/7 and start scoffing at people who play games with graphics beyond 64-bit

Wargame has good graphics and gameplay. It has incredible detail for a large scale real time tactics game. Arma 3 is my favorite modern shooter. Red Orchestra/Rising Storm is my favorite team based shooter of the 21st century.

o right because playing Doom today is completely unheard of, since its graphics are outdated. graphics are everything. if my game doesn't have enough coronas, lens flares, and HDR, it's unplayable.

wow, I guess if I ever need to make you really mad, I know how to do that. messing with quotes and stuff is too much effort on my phone. so I'm just gonna say that most of what you said is handicapped and leave it at that

Brilliant statements. You've thoroughly demonstrated your ability to defend your argument.

Or maybe stupidity comes with playing modern military shooters.

I'm starting to think people complain about COD because they get their asses handed to them in it
You just insulted a guy by calling him a casual. Dude, get off your high horse, lol.
You're complaining about a single player campaign being linear in a game that never once stated to be open world. The story is actually pretty decent if you bother to actually play it. You know, without the "I hate COD" bandwagon bias.
Multiplayer is unbalanced? Everyone has access to the same equipment guy, if you get C4'd, you are absolutely free to C4 someone back. Don't moan about that.

its how the business works. If they can make millions with little-to-no effort, they will keep doing it. A bunch of whiny kids isnt going to make them think otherwise

battlefield is copying cod lol
