only real dynamic destruction you'll see in bf3-bf4, it'll be with the wooden fences; most everything else has a pre-determined destruction shape.
well yeah, bc2 was all dynamic too. but it was still fun and it added a neat little twist to the game.

i feel like an enviroment like that wouldnt really be suited for a game like bf or cod, but something more arcadey

You could in the original red faction and THAT was 12 years ago.
You could even knock the tree's over and blow up church towers in CoD United Offensive.

I think it would be interesting to have a game that plays like Receiver that had destruction like that.

IT was a good idea though. It needed better execution though.

Vanilla Doom only had co-op and deathmatch, but the metric forgetton of source ports have some batstuff insane mods like having
using mods as an answer is like saying

"yeah that scrawny little kid is way stronger then that bodybuilder, if you give him superpowers and stuff!!!!"

there are indestructible signs n fenceposts n stuff in bf3 that are placed in certain locations because it'd be way too easy to camp and shoot while being almost 100% covered if that sign weren't there.

i don't get why people are stuffting on the dynamism in bf4 and ghosts, people do realize that a perfectly dynamic environment like they want is impossible, right? that this is pretty much as good as it'll get?
i'm not stuffting on it don't get me wrong.  it's just that it's basically rigging the map.  it's like animatronic dinosaurs on a rollercoaster.  doesn't mean it isn't cool.

but it's lol that CoD only has one dynamic map as far as i know (repeat: as far as i know) that is "dynamic" as opposed to bf4 which has it like everywhere.  (by dynamic i mean a specific major map change, i.e. the skyscraper falling, the ship going ashore, not just like a wall getting blown down)

If you want real dynamic maps we should all just get red faction and play multiplayer.

all ghosts maps have some dynamic features (ie nuke explodes on map, column falls over blocking old path and creating new one
