Author Topic: Linux is SERIOUSLY making me want to beat it's developer up  (Read 1923 times)

I switched to linux about 1 year ago and I had to put up with many, many issues. Here are some of the issues:
-Team fortress 2 crashing, graphics issue probably
-Gmod crashing, again, graphics issue probably
-Youtube has skipping audio: (ex: original audio: Hey guys, whats up? linux: h-e---y--- g---uuu---yyy--sss and so forth)
-Dramatic fps loss in blockland (now it lags like hell when I try to play boss battles
-Everything is just more complicated than windows
-I do not recall having any of these issues in windows
-I have to pay a lot of cash to get windows back, my laptop is crappy anyways, so I'm kinda stuck.
This is really pissing me off.

Install graphics card drivers

How? I just updated 700 files with update manager (that's also why firefox has this issue now, I got the new version)

why did you switch to linux if you had windows

I was using vista and it had really poor and slow performance

How?

If you're running the latest version, I'm pretty sure theres a setting in options called additional drivers
see if you have any and update them

Oh, okay. I can understand switching from Vista.

If you have problems with Linux, don't use it. No operating system is a one-size-fits-all solution.

tbh, mint isnt that great. I would say switch to elementary and try it out.
