it was absolute garbage and after a bit less than a week i formatted the flash drive to make it useful again

You probably didn't even do what the OP did and installed drivers
if you do that, it really helps
especially with unity or ubuntu. Either that, or you chose a stuffty distro

-Gateway M-6309
-32-bit
-Laptop
-used to be windows vista home premium

Also, taboo, can you just leave us alone? We are trying to discuss something and you're just dismissing us on it and posting your opinion, which doesn't really help here.

I don't think he wants to dump a stuffload of cash into a new computer when he can just fix this simple problem.

my computer cost a tad over $500 and is beyond excellent for running pretty much everything and anything
the OS i got secondhand, but an OEM copy of 7 is only, oh, another hundred or so

hell if i remember, you really shouldn't have to put that much work into what should be a simple installation in the first place
if the OS was, you know, stable, it wouldn't be necessary

People don't seem to understand that Linux was never designed to play games or even to be a desktop operating system. Don't blame Linux.

I think YouTube is having issues in general recently.

It keep randomly freezing the video and then backing up the audio a few seconds, then continuing the video once the audio catches up again

And it also plays the audio to videos a lot of times when I'm not even watching one anymore
