Author Topic: So is anyone getting Ghosts?  (Read 15129 times)

What's funny about that, is why should they re-animate something, when they already have a scene that fits the general feel of it? It saved them time so they could focus on something else. People reuse animated scenes from other shows all the time, Disney especially.

On another note: I enjoy Extinction mode quite a bit, It's different from what CoD has done in the past, and I actually like it more than zombies.

They copied a cutscene pretty sad lol

oh no a repurposed animation

valve has done this stuff with a lot less subtlety for years.  Is there a single game that doesn't use the HEV "ding" noise?  All of the bullet hit noises have been used for a long time too.  That loving Half-Life 2 crate, barrel, and dumpster (really, one of CS:GOs biggest features is that they finally modeled a new metal barrel)?  Recycling content is pretty standard.  Why spend the time/money making a new animation when you can just edit the current one?

Because they have tons of money and a "new engine"

probably because this is a multimillion (hell, probably even billion) dollar business so you would expect such a studio to produce something of better quality than a "here's a throwback to one of the best endings we ever did--jk it's just a coverup of our laziness!" sort of bullstuff excuse

a hitsound and a crate compared to an 18 second animation integral to the plot of a multi-million dollar corporation's headliner are different you know

it simply doesn't make sense to make the same animation twice, no matter who you are.

no they loving aren't.  If anything, this animation is less offensive, you see it for all of 18 seconds.  once.  if it weren't for this video, you wouldn't have noticed.

you are all dense for even thinking that the single player campaign is what sells the games. no one gives a stuff about it. its basically an extra to sell for losers without internet access, in hopes of  a few extra bucks being made.

It has like the EXACT ending from MW2.

I see no change.
different endingm they just used the animation in another scene

first off, tone it down buddy. it's just a game

second off, they're different in the sense that there's no competition to call of duty, it has this giant established market which is sure to generate tons of revenue, so the fact that, even in a minute way, they are recycling an ending animation... it just feels like a spit in any COD's fans face.

and ironically the multiplayer looks so similar to MW2 it's sorta pathetic

who said that they think single player is what sells the game?

I personally think MW, MW2 and BLOPS has pretty good campaigns and I was excited for them though.

i would bet money you wouldn't.

i would bet money you wouldn't.
i mean you could still bet me but its too late now

Guaranteeing I would. Modern Warfare 2 was one of my favorite games and I played through it a ton.

Do you know that this isn't the ending for Ghosts? (also I'm pretty calm right now, I'm just trying to stress how insignificant this whole 18 seconds is)

No you wouldn't have.  Being helped up is such a cliche I'm not surprised this animation hasn't been used more.
