Author Topic: So my school has added a new internet filter. PROXIES AHOY  (Read 5574 times)

which reminds me, i've asked a ton of times and never gotten an answer
what makes bing so bad
i've used it before and i didn't particularly dislike it, what's the deal

is that the joke, that it's not bad and everyone exaggerates its badness
or am i missing something

Why wouldn't instagram be blocked?
Same with facebook and tumblr and twitter.
If it's a filter for a grade school of course they're going to block that stuff.

Wikipedia is an odd block though.

using https instead of http works in my school.  The ITS "team" isn't too bright

this is a lot dumber than my school lol. at my old school we had almost no blocks, only blocks on facebook twitter social websites and research sites, here we have a block on everything, funny that 90% of it is labeled as "uncategorized"

In the worst case scenario just bring TOR on a flash drive to school to get around blocks.

Wtf why would they block wikipedia
???

Bing is literally the best research video search engine to ever exist

well if you search stuff up like "boobs" or "butt" on wikipedia it actually shows nude pictures of those things
i speak from my own experience
my mind was scarred from that

use google as a proxy and get past it

In my school, blockland forums is banned for "games".

on the bright side i get 8 MB/s
