no, i'm not stuffting around like everyone else in the topic. this is an excellent opportunity to back up files using encrypted stuff.

bam, 100% security, 10TB space. easy peasy.

edit: 2 problems
1: you have to use their app first before getting the space, and they don't have a web client as best as I can tell
2: the permissions on the android app are sketchy

because it forces you to download the app to complete the registration

A great place for storing your encrypted stuff into. Just crypt them with 100+ characters and you'll be fine (maybe).

use asymmetric encryption with a trusted program like gnupg with 4096 bit keys. even if your password on the keys is jack stuff, they'll never break that crypto on the files
on the other hand, 100+ characters would probably be sufficient. 100^26 for just the alphabet and all that. pretty big.

My god, you're gullible.

I'm obviously not going to upload valuable files that contains personal information. You shouldn't do that with any cloud storage service. But it's as real as it gets to getting 10 TB for free.

And all this talk about the Chinese spying on the files, yet we have companies like the NSA doing their deed with DropBox and other cloud storage services in US.

The app is useless, you can install it, log in, then delete it from your phone afterwards. I dug around it's location folder and found nothing. I did an anti-virus scan and it found nothing either.

Also encrypting the files is a good idea.
