Every other update, they just moved stuff around or made is slightly more of a pain in the ass to access something.

This time, they gave the comments and notification systems complete useless, stuffty overhauls, and from what I understand some people are having a hard time just getting into their main account.

I agree. It's just that every YouTube update isn't any good. They only make renovations to the site constantly to show that there is something new they have to offer to their users, which boosts traffic.

their ui is an ugly as stuff attempt and minimalistic design, but they cover every inch of the screen with buttons, their updates only move stuff around and make it even more foriegn to users instead of fixing obvious problems
i think of youtube as a model for how not to treat your users

Seriously? The only thing that's a major difference is that the guide menu was redone to fit the "Cards" look that Google has been using everywhere else.

I'm one of the few that doesn't mind it. I already linked a Google+ account a long time ago, so it doesn't really affect me. I can see why it would bother some people though. I do prefer the threaded comments to the old system. It makes seeing replies a lot easier, easier than endless "show the comment" chains, at least. My only real complaint is you can no longer post a time in a comment to link to that spot in the video.

I'm the only one fighting back with no google+ account and youtube is trying to cripple the users o dont so bad to were they have to switch to google+

Imo people should make a great vimeo switch until youtube gives people what they actually want

Comments were always garbage anyway, I'm there for videos not for the idiots down there.

If i can click top and only see comments from the video maker and actual good comments, That's an improvement.
