image is kinda laggy but whatever

im gonna try and give constructive criticism
- the horizontal movement has no momentum at all and that makes it move strangely. i suggest you add a little bit of friction, atleast when you let go of the movement key. if you want to make it more realistic, add no friction in mid-air
- hand-drawn art styles are usually good but this looks pretty bad. try getting a touchscreen or drawing tablet, or if you can't, practice with the mouse. or you could use the line tool to draw a straight line. to emhasize this style, try adding little (but some) shading, specifically around the borders, and make the borders thicker for a pretty nice aesthetic
- no shading. try to find a light source (top right) and make parts of the sprite that aren't illuminated by the light a shade darker. around the edges, use an even darker shade to make it look a little bit less 2 dimensional
- instead of putting the ice cream (coins) in an amorphous blob try putting them in a line or a polygonal shape. in level design, try putting coins around secrets or good things
- weird background, it'd probably look a bit better if it moved slightly
- try making the solid objects about the same size as the player object to make it easier to create levels
- no animation for horizontal movement
as for drawing the furby try scaling an image of one down and tracing over it, and then shading and stuff
