You mean that stuff that half the Blockland community can't run?
Yeah I'd take maps over them any day. Simply because its unique and doesn't hop on the bandwagon.
not badspot's fault you got a toaster for a computer lol

10/10 argument

there was no argument, that's just the fact

a game from 2004 shouldn't require a $200 graphics card to run at full settings
users shouldn't spend $800 on a whole expensive pc to run it
calling every other computer a "toaster" only shows what a pampered brat you are

you have to remember that badspot wants more players and what would attract more players
flashy graphics or terrains that came out of 2001

thank god the updates make this no longer a 2004 game then.
thats is what updating is all about.

there should be no pity on people with computers/not upgraded more then 4 years old.

my computer cost only $500 lol, and i paid for it myself
yes, the game was originally made in 2004... so what? are you an idiot? the entire purpose of these updates is to improve it from its previous state, and that includes bringing its graphics up to modern standards

Usually when you buy an $800 computer you use it to play more than just 1 game. I bought my $250 GPU so I could play my entire Steam library, not just a block building game.

So you're upset that a game that has been in development for years and years is- *gasp*-getting more advanced? Well blow me down!
Badspot and Kompressor should know better than to work really hard on their game and keep it looking decent while other games are looking more and more visually impressive! Same goes for other big name software and hardware developers, they should really stop making me buy a new console just to play games that look better. Grand Theft Auto started all the way back in 1997, I shouldn't need a several hundred dollar system to play it!
I shouldn't have to keep my hardware up to date just because some starfishs want to make their games look better.
Besides, if I can't have my games looking nice, no one should have the privilege either. Everyone with a computer that wasn't designed 3 years ago with 5 year old technology is a spoiled brat!

I agree, to a degree. If I could run shaders, I would absolutly take that over maps, since most of the maps were rather badly done. But like you said, alot of people can't run shaders. It's really annoying because servers are very frequent in saying "This would look better if you run shaders at max!"

updates are made for the 2004 game to make it fresh and not look like some out-dated crap. video games these days are advanced, and require more than a simple computer, monitor, and a basic graphics card to run them with max graphical settings.

what's wrong with trying to keep up with the times?
