Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response
Yes, that is the actual acronym

Quote from: wikipedia
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a neologism for a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli. The nature and classification of the ASMR phenomenon is controversial. Tom Stafford, a professor at the University of Sheffield, says, "It might well be a real thing, but it's inherently difficult to research."
in essence, asmr is a tingling and relaxing sensation that occurs in the back of the head when listening to certain sounds or watching people perform simple and slow tasks.

ive been laying down with my headphones with this girl whispering in my ear watching her forget around with hair for a whole 8 minutes and i am failing to feel anything

i guess im not special

These all are so weird. They all seem like they're made for some  people that have never had an interaction with a woman in their life. I do like the barbershop one though, it's pretty relaxing.

I always get this when viewing Bob Ross' videos

I love this stuff, I thought I made a thread on this, no?

Perhaps i provided a baised sample in the op, but asmr is not loveual or relevant to gender at all, in fact I believe asmr was coined to describe the feeling from Bob Ross videos. Many of the more popular asmr makers are girls solely because some people prefer that, it does not, however, change the actual asmr experiance

I get a tingling on the back of my neck when something awe-inspiring is going on (like music or something). Is that the same thing?
I never get it from listening to someone whisper random stuff though.

idk i've interacted with women plenty of times and i get it.  it has nothing to do with how many women you've touched, just how your brain perceives soft, close sounds.

never had it on my neck but it's like a tingling rush to the top of my brain

it this related to why i get chills when i talk in character/talk on a video
